A few words from the Chairman

PCC moving forward.

Hi Members.

I have been a regular member of the Club for about 25 years and, for approximately 12 of those years, I held the positions of Chairman, Vice-Chairman and Secretary. I was "persuaded" to take over the position of Chairman again this season mainly because I could see a very strong team to work with - Carolyn (or Lyn, maybe CJ, depending on our mood) has been a star in the Vice Chairman position and also Jackie is a major recapture as Secretary (Jackie retired at the end of last season). I will not mention everybody at this stage because it will sound like an end of year report to the AGM.
I must say that hearing Nigel tell us that we had gathered 50 members so far this season (usually 40-45) was a good sign but the item that has given me the most pleasure has been the number of new members to come along to the club and, most importantly, staying.
If the second half of the season is as pleasing to me as the first I will be very happy, perhaps I might even get the pronunciation right on Georgie and Fred (aka the two Maries)
