Summer Outings 2009
George Inglis has asked myself (Marie) to advertise the summer outings for 2009.
So far the Summer Trip suggestion sheet looks thin on the ground. So far George
is the only one who has made the effort to come up with suggestions of Delphi Woods,
Shell Bay and Durston, Swanage.
Surely there must be some favourite places you like visiting around the local area
that you wish other Parkstone Camera Club members would be interested in visiting
and taking photos.
Please, Please, Please can you think of some suggestions for places to visit
this summer? So that we have a good summer this year for getting out and about and
taking those important photos. You can either contact
George (click name to make contact using the PCC contacts page) or myself
Marie
or why not pop to the back of the hall and place your suggestion on the notice board
during the coffee break.

Two simple rules of wedding photography
There is one simple rule in all photography, buy a good quality light meter, don't
rely on the camera meter and always work with incident light readings where you
are measuring light falling on the subject. Once you have mastered this technique
you are away, and can apply it to everything you take pictures of. When I photographed
wedding dress material this always gave every detail and colour. You must remember,
when you use the camera meter, it always tries to make 18% grey, and if you are
looking at a white dress you don't want it to look grey.
The other thing you had to make sure of was calibrating the film and camera together,
to make sure you knew what the true film speed was, as you cannot assume because
it says 100ASA that that's right.
